We’ve had this drill for over 2 years now. No issues. Hours of homeowner use rehabbing an old house. Dropped countless times. This thing still charges excellent, the battery lasts and lasts. Comes with 2 batteries, so one charges while the other is in use. I think (this is not scientifically proven, but) it charges faster than it discharges. Charges in less than an hour. Highly Recommended.

I have used this drill/driver for over a year now and I hope to get another one soon. It has PLENTY of power for what I do. I have built and assembled complete kitchens with this tool and never ran out of power with two batteries. Good speed control with the trigger, convenient direction reversal buttons, and a very adjustable clutch. 12V is plenty and gives this drill a nice balance between power and size/weight. Fits into most tight spots. Don’t know what I did before I bought this great powerhouse.

The drill itself is very good. E 'implementation DeWalt Pouch that needs improvement. My previous drills, a Makita, their implementation Pouch had put me down for 35 pieces in a drill / driver in his case is difficult to save. This allowed me to take the drill in its case and go, without thinking, the drill has to decide individually how I am now with the DeWalt. DeWalt, the case is actually larger than the Makita, but there's too much wasted space on plasticmolding. The interior could be easily reconfigured to accommodate a case for drill / drivers.

I have been using a corded sds hammer drill for a number of years and have grown tired of lugging an extension cord around jobsites. When I’m working from a 12-foot ladder the extension cord adds significant weight to the drill. Sure; a corded drill hits harder and drills slightly faster, but the disadvantages, at least in my opinion, outweigh the advantages, thus making a battery hammer-drill a viable choice. And in my case the 18 volt model was the logical choice … I already use a DeWalt 18-volt drill/driver and have plenty of batteries (as well as a 15-minute charger). I can charge five batteries in the evening, carry them with me to work and not have to worry about running out of power all day long. I seldom drill anything larger than 1/4″, so I get a lot of holes out of a single charged battery. This is one of the lightest sds battery drills available, too.
If you are lucky enough to do all your drilling in a single location, or if you anticipate doing a lot of chipping or drilling large holes, then go for a corded drill: you’ll be glad you did. If your job requires you to move around a lot and/or climb ladders, you will soon appreciate this drill.

This product works great, much better than a different company’s 18 volt rotary hammer, although it lacks a chipping or hammer only function. However to be fair SDS+ isn’t meant for heavy chipping applications, if you need to do alot of chipping get a spline drive or SDS MAX, they work so much faster. I cannot accurately say exactly how many holes I get per charge because I drill various hole sizes (3/16″-3/4″). Sometimes I will use thin-walled core bits, but for the large sizes I usually bring out the corded hammerdrill, this one will drill the hole but it is hard on it. overall a great drill.

I bought this item because I have almost every Dewalt 18 volt tool there is. This completed the 18 volt system. I used it just the other day and it
worked like a champ. If you are drilling several holes, I would recommend the Bosch extreme corded hammerdrill.
All in all, the tool is a bit pricy but what isn’t now days.

This compact SDS Drill offers great power with a lightweight compact body. The 18v power pack gives you enough power to use on most jobs. I went with the 18v over the 24v because i was concerned that the 24v would be too bulky and or heavy to use one handed or leaning to a hard to reach space. Coupled with a rapid 15min charger, you will never run out or power.

The construction work for a living, doing a bit 'of everything. One minute I will be taping screws angle iron will, the next will be holes in sheet metal. And before lunch. This exercise is impressive. I have extensively used the 14.4 version, simply do not have the courage to have. is the velocity of holes in a hurry, and the torque required to free rusted bolts (among others). The wide range of settings as a couple is also nice. Perhaps the best thingHowever, it is the pistol grip. E 'increasingly difficult to find Drills with this type of control, and' brain T 'not only cut. Every time someone says that a T-handle drill, is better than a gun I had to laugh. There is good reason for that heavy-duty drill (screw shooter, hammers, etc.) are taken gun. Will let you all your power goes right in line with the bit and reduces the lumps and Camed screws. Yes, you point a bit 'heavy after a while'.If you use a drill for a long time, you should check with a drill wire anyway, so I do not consider it a disadvantage. Finally, the battery life on this thing awesome. It takes almost twice as long, as the old 14.4 V batteries.
Now for the downsides:
What can be easy, but the case is in a small space for bits and so on. The case itself is the same size as that for the 14.4, but Pack 2 large batteries and a little 'largest drilling (yes, this exerciseis slightly larger compared to 14.4 … This is not the front-runner for use in tight spaces). The last 2 drawbacks are not drawbacks as much as useless "features". The maximum speed on this is signifigantly faster than average, but use a little 'more power. Finally, the drill "hammer" capability is a joke. You can add a whole drill with the same speed with the simple closure of the clutch and with a little 'masonary.
