I bought the saw into smaller pieces, I cut the branches w / my reciprocating saw to cut Milwaukee Hachet help. I was very glad to see it was manufactured in Japan escpially as a society, such as agriculture Milwaukee increasingly to China. Makita has a set of products in China. It seems well done. Bar seems much smaller than individual photos. Do not cut anything because there is no snow in our region. I will use when the snow melts and the soil is dry. I do not want to slip andcovered w / a chainsaw.UPDATE: Used on 12/14/09 at reducing the pile of branches loose on the bench at the end of the garden. I bought this chain saw to cut limbs loose. Cutting limbs loose on earth w / i or Hachet Milwaukee recip saw the results because of the jump and vibrate a lot. Cut through Makita cordless w / vibration and kickback and rather quickly. There is no doubt that I cut a large portion of a tree, a recip w / a Skil"ugly" Milwaukee pruning knife or blade would be faster Makita chain saw. But it is not proposed to cut branches felled into smaller pieces w / control and little or no vibration this little Makita too.

I bought this saw the light for cutting and pruning to be used on a small nursery area. I'm tired of maintenance costs and more than gasoline powered tools online – spend more time fiddling around with them start and more reliable actully start with them. Do not forget to mention the noise and chaos. I was a bit 'skeptical, saw the opportunity, before I bought it, but also some other Makita cordless and have used for years, so it was that made by Makita, provided that theSecurity for the purchase of this visa. Now I have used it several times, trimmming to 4 "diameter wood (oak, walnut), branches and are quite happy with its performance and battery life. (Make sure the saw with the buy 2.6AH battery.) Of course, the power and longer length bar chainsaw gas heavier for use is necessary, and to make the biggest trees, but also for comfort and mess without trimming Makita saw this fills the bill for me.

I have been "doubled" Look, for the extensionPole handle and an extra battery for long working days.

Get a battery-powered recip saw instead – San Jose Reader – San Jose, CA
Nice tool, but an alternative view battery works much faster because you're only a small kerf cut (due to the thin blade) instead of the wide kerf intersecting a chainsaw.

While each house, the trees are wonderful, and there are numerous quality-of-life and performance of ecosystems need a little 'care and attention from time to time. If you have only one or two trees, then you may be able to those of us with a hand saw or scissors Lopper. But even this can be difficult to use in difficult situations (like when on top of a ladder) or the middle of a dense cluster of branches. And you forget the manual, if one takes a lot of trees. But I foundMakita 4-1/2-Inch 12-volt cordless electric chain saw, the perfect tool to use for these and other situations.

I noticed that it looked very good around the yard for the general thrust / cutting applications. E 'bright enough that you can not keep tired too quickly, and is small enough that you can use in hard to reach spaces. It is battery powered, so no more dealing with chainsaw oil leak all over the place.
