I’ve worked in construction and used many different brands of cordless drills, but I really like the Black & Decker for home projects. This 14.4V drill is lighter than the 18V ones I have to use on jobs, but still plenty strong enough to get the home projects done. The battery lasts a long time too. There’s just a 5-position clutch, not a 24-position one as it states in the description, and the case it comes with is a joke (it’s a vinyl bag with a zipper), but I guess I’m just used to the hard cases I’ve always had with my cordless drills in the past that offer the drill more protection and have places to carry screws, etc. Even my old 12V B&D drill came with one. The stud finder isn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it works okay, and you can’t really complain, since it was free. All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase and will definitely continue to buy B&D tools. As far as the sale with Amazon’s seller, I got it promptly and undamaged, and I have no problems whatsoever with purchasing anything from these people again. Thanks!

Well, For a basic cordless drill it is nice in that it charges fast, light weight and easy to use. However, the one I received does not spin true so driving a long screw will be a bit harder than normal.

It has handy features in that it has hex and flat head tips that fit on the back top of the drill so you always have them with you. It also has a bit for holding these tips that also is held on the base. If it wasn’t for the wobbling I would rank it a 4.

For the money I have gotten better at Lowes so that’s why not a 5.

Haven’t used the stud finder yet but that was a nice addition.

I won’t return it but won’t buy the same model next time I need one.

2. When correct item received, it did not include stud finder originally included in purchase.
3. When correct item was received, batteries for stud finder were bad, exploded & corrosion was all over inside of drill & case…along with human hair…DISGUSTING!!!
4. Response time adequate, but I won’t buy from this seller again, too many problems for what was supposed to be a Christmas gift.

My rating of five stars is actually a solid four stars, to help themselves not to acquire two stars, who was a critic.

I have a lot of research before buying this year. And 'well-balanced, easy to control, and just go on each vine and nothing in it for a long, long time on each battery. This is a powerhouse with more torque (460 lbs.) For the dollar than any other detail of his class. I discovered that for me, two 1.5-amp-hours are better batteriesas a 3.0 ampere-hour battery (which is available) that the battery smaller and lighter, and if you are with the drill all day, you will appreciate not having to have added weight. The 1.5 Ah battery charges in less than half an hour (not 15 minutes, as stated), so you are always ready to go.

However, there are some minor disadvantages: 1) No system of registration of drilling (you can create a car … I like a magnet to be installed.) 2) The kit is useless with a flashlight, notfor the execution, would have been better to have some doo-dad loved the drill, such as waste of a plan instead of money for a flashlight. 3) No battery meters. 4) is robust, with a support belt, which is a lot, but I do not trust what you can hang on … and then there's always the possibility of drilling a hole in his leg. I removed. 5) The case for the kit to measure 16 "x 18" x 4 "and do justice, as a background design or a carrier at night would bring about … other waste;and when he pulled the last time around (or even more) your exercises work in their case? However, it is recyclable. 6) The Charge LED on the charger Bare Bones is recessed into the top of the loader and can be seen on them only by sight. The charger has a light read rather cryptic.

With all these complaints, I would not even think any of the other 9 drill (less than $ 200) I tried. Why? It 'exceeded every one of them.

In the last two weeks, we havewere rebuilding a small house. I included the Hitachi drill and a good track (just in case) in my toolbox. I still have to connect the wired drill.

very light drill – QHAN –
Need a new drill in the middle of the building of 5 storeys, in 4 pieces, wooden storage shelves for purchase. The Dewalt 14.4 V, what I wanted, went to smoke after 5 years. Hitachi bought without research, and was not disappointed. This exercise is extremely compact and lightweight, lighter than my DeWalt 12v. The battery came out of the box is already loaded, ready to go, which I appreciate because I do not have time for the initial charge and wait. Each illuminated 1.5-ion battery lasted about the same as a Ni-Cad, butmuch lighter and thinner. Recharging takes 15-20 minutes. A 460in-lb, unit easily drilled 2 1 / 4 screws and sometimes 3 inches, which I have used, and 2 1 / 2 screws in masonry. It was initially very skeptical of the belt hook, however, proved to be very practical and not fall down through the drill a lot of movement and scale. The LED light is a good added feature to work in low light conditions, like under the shelves.

The torch is something extrado not plan to use, and it seems another unnecessary for the package could be put buyers save money. The case is ridiculously large. I had to wear and share a little 'more money for a bag on the drill and the charger.

The color green and the fools are the tip of the drill to make a toy, but the performance is far from this book. I recommend this exercise for extensive use. Reduces fatigue on your wrist with its light weight and offers excellent driving force.

Weight and Balance – Cary Secrest – Bethesda, MD
This tool is my first foray into the world of Hitachi. What I feel more grip and the way in which the instrument is not, can not forward or backward, if you use a lot. And 'well balanced and the motor housing is short, which is useful in small rooms. The design is different from most other exercises. The battery has not plans to handle, but, as slides in a slide. I like to push the press "and" design drop battery of other instruments, but Push It "and" DesignJust getting used to. Clutch settings seem a little 'lighter than other exercises, but on the other hand, the lighter settings are very nice tip for delicate work such as setting # 6 cylinder-head screws for plywood oak 1 / 8-inch pan, not embedded in the plywood. I have not tried driving screws # 10 in oak, without a pilot hole. Personally, I would drill a pilot hardwood, so no risk of breaking the head off the bolt. A # 10 of any length is fine enough to go to Woodwith a pilot hole first.

Positives: low weight, small for tight spaces, ergonomic, lithium-ion batteries, the drill bit lock-up help in food, light LED work, and a very nice bag.

Minus (?). My only concern is to echo a previous review … I had no idea when I bought the Hitachi is the only tool that makes this time with this design battery. It's new. Although the lithium-ion batteries for a long time, and have no charge "memory", in somePunto (1,000 charge cycles or so) should be replaced. It would be reassuring if the battery is generally the product line.

One more thing … Because the torch? The bag can be reduced without them.

This drill is not know who the last examination, but have not had for drilling large handle AWSOME I use it for drilling concrete and masonary works AWSOME I know there are more than 3 months and is still running strong in life have had BATTERIES LAST unbelievable, they seem to ALWAYS KNOW I GOT TO masonary drilling through harder than oak and thats why I totally disagree with the last review all I can say is that for so small and light as Boy Does IT IS ITSOME POWER PACK …

I have this tool to run electric cutouts on a new installation on drywall. I discovered that the point of driving even when using bit for this job, this tool so much energy that melt / cut the side of the plastic box for if you're not careful. It takes a little 'practice to develop the sense of using it on plastic boxes.

Since I lack the patience and skill, or use on plastic boxes, without intervening in them I have a metal cover plate that I installed onPlastic Box, which allows me to dry quickly without damaging the router box. Once the hole routered I just pop my cover and move it to the next field.

Found it worked much to do for the cuttings to be installed before the leaves, and blocked on my cutting table when I select the item, and use the metal edge of my T-square as a guide. Begin in the lower left and slide the flat side of the shoe on the depth of space on the right side of the secondAngle, I think that the instrument stable against the place and slide the square along the drywall with the tool held firmly against the post on the opposite side of the opening angle cut to 3. I then slide the tool on the left, crossing the square at the fourth corner, then hold it against the seat and push the space back to the base while holding the tool against the blade. The result is a perfect square or rectangular hole les time consuming thando it with a knife or a drywall saw. It takes less time to do it than to describe it.

I have now also be used to cut window openings in drywall on my cutting table with my T-square as a guide, which is a bit 'slower with a knife, the effort, but is also much less.

This is a good tool that does exactly what it should do. I do not know what else you could do better. I can not wait until the lighting circuits can be cut in the ceiling!

A year later I bought the entire set of Denali 18V, the batteries NOT AVAILABLE. And it is useless to the note from Amazon: "I do not know if and when this product becomes available." Amazon, which is absolutely unforgivable. At least a responsible society that tell us if a different battery to fit the mold. Still, Amazon still selling the 18v tools as a means "bare", without warning, the batteries are not available! And, yes, after a year of batteries (I 2) are pretty shot. Backif they had batteries, but it was a decent instrument!

I bought this tool, I thought I could find a use for it (as I did for the discount rate three-tool/bag/battery/charger). Within the first week in my new home I was changing the thermostat and found that the wires are about 2 inches on the road request.

I got beat up this kid in a battery and a little 'dry, and within a few seconds, has a channel cut the wires down.

E 'was great, I wish I could think of other things to it to use.

A great little saw. My family and my friends have tried at all affected by this chain small bee. And the design is safe enough (for my children over the age of 12) to be used. Because it is configured as a hedge, not to take or keep what is says. In fact, you must press both levers, so that your hands are always on his way. And because it uses both sides of the work that you do not have to keep something under your foot. Also keep the guardsthe chain out of the mud (and feet), so that it remains very strong as long as your chainsaw normal. I cut a 4 "and recorded more regularly.
I have 2 of these, and 10 batteries (I have 3 years free batteries campaigns Amazon!) I have the 8 "pruning saw on a pole, and the Grasshog and trimmer on a pole.
The 5 star is because it lacks the charger is so lame. You should indicate if the charge is complete, and when the battery is shot. Indicates when the batteryhim. no sense of an indicator. Are about 15 minutes from our cutting fees.

This is a great tool. It cuts quickly and is very safe. Battery life is pretty good too. I bought an extra battery and I am glad that I did not. I recommend it for light jobs with average use. Makes short work of cutting a lot of 3 "or smaller branches and twigs.

The problems: 1) the life Battey … resolve simple to get a replacement battery … 2) requires oil frequet 3) This is the biggest problem I see, however, possible to break an agreement: the guard in the upper chain even put quite simply is the chain friction, wear and food of the Guard ..

Overall: I would say, worth $ 75-99, butnot yet, $ 100 for him, until they are correct, the above error.

Buyer beware! The image shows from that contained in Article 2 of XRP battery. This item does not come with covers XRP batteries – are the old standard batteries. If you do not mind) the old batteries (40% less energy / time, so for this exercise. The exercise is taking place very well, although the confusion of the battery.

"I called Amazon tech support (in India) and was told they would investigate the situation and send an email with a solution. I waited a week and cried again. The representativelooked through the notes and said it was found that if I reordered the same item, which would come with the standard battery yet. But after he and a supervisor, said the technician who are making a special exception for me. They told me that the order separately XRP 2-pack of batteries, and I would be reimbursed for the amount of such purchase. Might not only that, but I think the original battery that came with the drill. I have the exact figure of TechBatteries wanted order, and told me to put in the notes. I will refund if you happen to believe, but I have to recharge the batteries and wait to see what happens.

An interesting thing happened when I ordered the batteries are: the element, said FREE delivery, but when I checked it out, insisting that the cheapest shipping from $ 26.95 (2nd Day Air is Hawaii). "I emailed a request in this case, and I was told that things like tools, garden accessories,etc., were not eligible for free shipping to Hawaii. OK, but the initial drilling and combined battery was, in fact, sent FREE Super Saver Shipping. Go figure …

I received XRP batteries, which I was told to order and asked for them plus shipping and handling charge. I called Amazon and spoke again with someone who looked like that in reality in the United States. After the situation to him, I said that was not loaded for a new battery andLoans would be that amount immediately. He also said that it would send a confirmation e-mail within 10 minutes. Well, that was 5 days ago and there was no confirmation by e-mail and will not be refunded my credit card.

I called again (now India) and I've learned that time there were no reports received through a refund, but if you are the original batteries that came with the drill, they would refund me the full amount of the drill. Rather than argue with the representative and confusedthings even more, I said "OK", and she sent me a RMA number and label list. Now I am the original batteries and wait what happens. I have great hope for something that happens, so I call my credit card to maintain these rates is subject to all. What incredible mess!

UPDATE: April 16, 2009
No refunds on account of my credit card for the batteries to be displayed. I also had two other points that were not ordered, that I back –clearly flawed – and I have not received a refund for the two. I have access to all payments by credit card, I turned to Amazon for these products until this comes out. These are the first articles I again on Amazon.com, and I'm beginning to believe that their returns department is totally incompetent.

This is one of my favorite tools to become. It 'easy to use and can be used at home or at work for many operators. My wife has taken with this instrument for their needs as well. Good addition to the toolbox.

I bought the first time one of these for use in the workplace. Then I bought for home use. The features I like most are: (1) The floating system DeWalt battery that I can always have a battery ready when my wireless means you can use periods of heavy use for many days not used separately. My Makita cordless system will not let me do, and if I needed my Makita angle drill, I have to wait an hour to recharge a battery that was dead, (2) the DeWalt 18-volt batteries thatComes with spikes are compact, non-regular Hammer Art Since I usually use a drill square in tight areas, I often need all the help they can maneuver in the parking lot I had, and I rarely use a drill along the corner time to complete, drain the battery. I have the full range of DeWalt 18 volt tools, so you can take a full size battery, if necessary, a short distance (3) the trigger, and I can use it with the normal setting. I have fought with the drill to spin it, (4)The drill is surprisingly well balanced in the hand, even if it does not appear in the photo. The 3 / 8 inch Chuck has always been enough for me. It was in those rare cases where I needed a larger hole, I drilled a hole the size and Ries, shot with a little 'stem.

I wish you would make a 18-volt DeWalt random orbit. I want to buy one – or two – immediately.

I have many tools, including various Dewalt Drills and saws. Bosch has always been a property name and offers an excellent 18-volt battery in the series. The angle on the right picture shows the drill 18 volt XRP batteries. I ordered the product on two different occasions. The first time that the order was sent with two of lesser quality DC9099 18-volt. I spoke with a representitive sent from Amazon and other unit was on this day was for the XRP batteries. WhenI came second open forum to find the same thing for the wrong batteries. For some reason, sent the item in the photo and the article are different. I mean that Amazon gave me a full refund for the purchase, but as an entrepreneur, I was planning on the deployment of this equipment in service immediately. Unfortunently I lost about three weeks) (both orders and never the right Drill / Battery Kit. It 'a shame, I was really looking forward to this current to a mobile kitchenProject.

I took a stab in the Panasonic cordless equipment 3 years ago solely on the basis capassity.What NiMH battery was finished more than a drill, it takes 6 + hours.I are a contractor and I used this exercise every day for the last three years I've owned it.Ive had to send my drill for a while 'until recently (it diddnt break of sorts) with his fine a drill that can be used on a daily basis for three years without any problems. The charger is a rapid charger 45 min, so that thenever without a low battery (if you play your cards right). Now the flip side, this exercise is difficult, but this is what you will with a 18V drill, must be understood, i wouldnt buy this drill for its weight, but if you want the best, a tool is heavy are at the end. If you get something lite INpact a tear.
Finally, I believe that this exercise is the best out there as Tapcon applications masonairy lite, the couple is so into the sea (not the things that most other exercises can be solvedcan not, for example through the drilling of steel), so you do not think twice about pro tools truck.Even on the site or in the box, if this tool is difficult, I still gave it five stars, because to me its worth its weight in gold. I bought this Panasonic drill after reading the comments left by other customers. So far I am very pleased with the drill. I have not had occasion to use it much, but I know I will. I am a part-time and craftsmen have owned and used other exercises, such as Porter-Cable, DeWalt, Hitachi, Bosch, Craftsman, Ryobi, Black & Decker and rigid. I think I found my only (finally). As mentioned, the first feature that makes this exercise an advantage over those that I used, is its jointMechanism of bits in the chuck on my block, I was very annoyed by other drill bit drop while in use. 'll Come back and add more feedback than I used most in my work. But now I am very happy. I love the colors.
